July 7, 2010 (morning)
I slept well last night. Even though it was down in the mid-30s again, I stayed warm (for the first time on the trip) by placing my down sleeping bag inside of my light weight bag. As it grew colder at night, I zipped up the outer bag and was able to stay toasty all night.
I ate a quick breakfast (the last of my “yellowstone meal” food), broke camp and drove out of the west gate of Yellowstone (leaving paradise, I thought), turned right on Hwy 191 (soon entering Gallatin National Forest), then left on Hwy 285, took a look to my left, and found paradise again.
